Unless you really wanted the coconut frosting, you might even want to make the cupcakes with a different frosting or event to have with vanilla ice cream.

I'm definitely looking forward to those blintzes. Yours looked delicious (and I still can't stop thinking about your apple turnovers either :)inthekitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00237440633784467985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330346747791020327.post-72096437764792081002011-09-07T17:28:09.880-04:002011-09-07T17:28:09.880-04:00These look wonderful and chocolatey! The cupcake's texture doesn't look crumbly (the way it does for butter cakes sometimes). This cake is still on my todo list. Will have to bump it up higher. Everybody seems to love it.
Btw, do make the Blintzes. So easy. So good!Hanaâhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15660317268731033542noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330346747791020327.post-74435311537894670192011-09-07T15:13:44.651-04:002011-09-07T15:13:44.651-04:00Hi Jenn, no, I sure haven't! I tend to just use what I have on hand but would be curious to see how much of a difference the specifically-called-for ingredient makes.inthekitchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00237440633784467985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-330346747791020327.post-63197128917536258592011-09-07T14:13:39.704-04:002011-09-07T14:13:39.704-04:00Alice, I see you used King Arthur's unbleached...Alice, I see you used King Arthur's unbleached cake flour. Do you like it? Have you ever compared it to the regular cake flour in terms of the resulting texture?Jennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11717898669803221775noreply@blogger.com
